Meet the Team
As a young girl I always dreamed of adventures. I was always envious of Bilbo Baggins and wanted nothing more than to pick up my backpack, follow the road and see where I ended up; "not all those who wander are lost."
My passion for travel and adventure saw me spending time Interrailing around Europe, studying Geography at university with a year of study in North America and living in Thailand.
I have more than 14 years of experience in the hospitality, travel and tourism industry so know how important customer service is and JUST how to make sure every experience is exceptional.
I have spent some time living in some of the most incredible places in the world and firmly believe some of the world's most beautiful places are back home. Growing up in Manchester I count myself incredibly lucky to live so close to the spectacular landscapes of the Peak District, Lake District and North Wales.
Together Mark and I have spent countless hours walking the well-trodden paths and exploring those less well travelled. We CANNOT wait to accompany you on your next adventure and show you some of the spectacular places and hidden gems just waiting to be explored and the magical memories just waiting to be made.
From the moment I could walk I've spent every possible moment in the great outdoors; hiking, fishing, camping, walking the dogs or any other activity known to man.
A great part of my working life has been spent in the countryside, starting as a gamekeeper and wildlife manager in South West England and then guiding anglers on huge public waters in the South of France. I also have many years of experience working in the hospitality industry managing bars, restaurants and hotels.
Recently I have been spending more and more time in the Lake and Peak District; wild camping and day hiking. I have made these National Parks my second home and I very much look forward to sharing some of my favourite routes, beauty spots and hidden gems with future Embarkers.
See you on the mountains soon!!!
Rory is a 5 year old Springer Spaniel and very much a key member of the team.
While at home he is scared of most things; the back garden, other dogs, the dark, his own shadow .... pretty much everything you can think of. He is, however, the perfect walking companion. Rory is very well trained and the softest dog in the world, he loves nothing more than tearing through the beautiful landscapes of the Peak and Lake Districts and never seems to tire, easily covering 4 times the distance we do on one of our adventures.
Rory is more than happy to accompany any of our walking tours, the site of him wagging his tail and sniffing out all kinds of wildlife is sure to warm your heart and bring a smile to your face.
